Hollywood, home of the world’s most popular celebrities, the paparazzi, and velvet ropes is synonymous with overbearing bouncers, condescending doormen, and vehemently volatile vixens that control your club-going experience. These aforementioned individuals unfortunately hold the key to your pleasurable purgatory where pulsating hips, top 40 hits, and dangerously high splits coexist to bring you a night of Hollywood bliss. Long story short, they can either make or break your night. This is why it is very important to have a back up plan.

As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of Hollywood club culture and being of the male species in a city where fake-breasts, luscious lips, and guest lists get you access, I truly understand and appreciate the value of having a back up spot as a fail safe. There have been too many instances when I was actually on the guest list, freshly dressed like a million bucks, and still didn’t gain access or had to wait for an hour to enter. This is truly a town that takes pride in separating the have from the have-nots. I have been on the other side of the illustrious velvet rope too many times to think that I have moved up to the upper echelon of Hollywood society. I feel it is my duty, honor, and privilege to introduce you to a place where status and money play the background to an old-fashion good time. In a world of absurdity, I present to you, The Room, a place that treats you like you deserve to be treated on your night on the town.

The Room is located right in the heart of Hollywood as a part of what many people call the “Cahuenga Corridor.” On a block that boasts some of Tinsel Town’s most elite spots lay this haven of restitution. At 1626 N Cahuenga Blvd, there actually exists a place with good people, good music, no guest list, and no cover charge. Yes, I said it, No Cover Charge! Behind these walls, you will find a newly renovated ultra-sexy club about the size of a big room which is why the name fits so well. With reasonably priced drinks, urban-chic décor, and extremely dim lighting, you will find everyone from sophisticated socialites to weekend warriors all groovin’ to the eclectic blend of hip-hop, soul, rock, & any other form of music conducive to grinding.

Speaking of grinding, The Room serves as the ultimate back-up plan to getting away from the typical grinding experience of LA clubbin’. So if you find yourself near the Cahuenga Corridor and you have already paid a ridiculous amount of money to park or valet and the doorman is giving you a hard time, just walk away.
